We always track in believe the news before the check, so we should find a away to check the fact, but we did have a positive way to find the truth.

CHALLENGE


Everyone could be our audience, but we don’t know the consequences if someone is the government and give us a warming for ethic, on the other hands, our topic could not reach the audience, didn’t get any attention or there are lots of hit topics cover our speeded news, we should concern about to do the Advantest better than others biggest forum, committees, social media platform, but we don’t have a lot budget.

IDEA


We would spread fake news on the social networks for example outbursts to discussing or share on a different platform, Concealed identity which makes people feeling easy to share anything. We concern creative about the culture of Fly bird festival that is not exist in the world and educates people to follow the culture and attend the activity.

RESULT


Total 363 followers on our facebook pages and 540 people reach our page on the week. Some audience commends us the festival details and feel very interest. Some audience comments that still doubt with something about our festival or some culture, he did some research and found that no any result in proper government website.

I am responsible for manage fly bird festival websites and help to grow our Facebook page followers.

Our fly bird festival is to provide the details of fly bird festival culture and afford the interest news to attract people to join our events.

I help to manage the Facebook page with my groupmates. We had reached 550 people in the public in a month, increase 264% in a month, we found that 65% famine-like & comments our page & 35% male-like & comments our page, then, 12 people give dislike emoji in our Facebook page, some of them age of 15-22. And then, the love emoji on our page is 55 per post on Facebook pages, almost age 40—45 age. Follow the above information, we discover 40-45 age of famine more believe of our fake news spread.

We got some followers feedback in Facebook inbox, this follower comes from Hong Kong, he is 30 years old now, work in the construction industry, he comments he is very angry after we post this fly bird festival is fake and he plans a holiday with family to celebrate this festival, but he had some reflection after he being cheated at this time, he said that he realizes that he did not self-determination in any information from his friends or family, how he thinks he needs to believe the information after fact check nonmatter what news he heard from. For us, we got a big message form this social experiment, it is really important to check the fact as we know no matter what social media market is large that is not evidence of their credibility, we should find out the true from different media, such as radio, newspaper or even through go out on the street find the evidence from ourselves, the most important is we should open our eyes open in any place, any times, did not blindly believe lies!

Fly Bird Festival Website

I announce the Hong Kong cultural council foundation limited on the website upload the post in a month, and the post almost about the detail of festival, for example, ingredients of fly bird congee, traditional things, and the legend of fly bird, etc. The function of the website creates a reliable platform for our audience more believe our fake news.

I am in the group of responsible for researching,  building the website, and grow the Facebook page followers. At the first of starting this topic - Fact check, I did a lot of research on people fact check behavior. People almost did not additional verification of the news, when they received the information from friends or family. So, I proposed to our header tea, I would announce a Hong Kong cultural council foundation limited website to building a reliable platform for our target audience.

One of our groupmate joe is responsible for writing a story about fly bird festival history, so I post this story on our website front page, after that, I reference some Hong Kong government websites, learning about how to promote culture in an effective way. Hong Kong government website look and feel almost for no obstruction person, front size and style look clean and big. Also, I walk around the street when people celebrating, for example, The international working women's day, Chinese opera day, these pictures give me the inspiration to create a fake festival, I brainstormed what happens if fly bird festival insists in Hong Kong what things are people would celebration.

Difficulties

It is difficult to create a fake ''history'' in this story, I reference the April fool festival for the first time because this is the special culture from people who make a joke, lies to people. I reference the video from Victor Dormash as below.
 

This video is taking about Aliens news, all of the background, radio from this video is fake, and the Author present the message don't blindly believe the lies. I reference this video, learn how to create a fake culture, the most important to attract people to believe is to build more than one platform so that the audience could found some evidence to support their true in our festival.

I did a questionnaire to our target audience, Facebook followers & website visitors, it shows that 75% of females & 25% Male join our fly bird festival. I ask what they come from, I find that they come by different fields and 30% comes from the community, social and personal service. I discover that the 45% live in Hong Kong, 20% live in Mainland China, 20% live in other places. Almost the audience did not do the fact check before we announced this is a fake news social experiment, but 65% audience did some research before so that they did not believe the fly bird festival, even we create lots of evidence.

Reflection

Last but not list, we published the Facebook account - FlyBirdFestival, how to grow hundreds of followers is a difficult problem, but I have an experience of manage social media, so I advertising our post to pubic and target the Facebook users age of 15-45, no limit the gender, we setting 10HKD for one day to publish our post to the pubic, also, posted on our own Facebook to attract our friends to share and follow. I would check the post number of web views every day and I analysis that We had reached 550 people in the public in a month, increase 264% in a month, we found that 65% famine-like & comments our page & 35% male-like & comments our page, then, 12 people give dislike emoji in our Facebook page, some of them age of 15-22. In a way, this most recent trend is still a social experiment, I discover that the Internet and social media make it very easy for anyone to publish content on websites, blogs or social media materials and potentially attract a large audience. There are so many people getting news from social media sites now, and many publishers have used it to their advantage. False information can be a profitable business. The more clicks a story gets, the more revenue online publishers can earn from advertising revenue. For many publishers, social media is about sharing content and driving web traffic Ideal platform. False information is not new; however, it has become a hot topic since 2017. Traditionally, I obtain news from trusted sources such as journalists and the media, and this news must comply with strict legal guidelines. However, the development of the Internet era has changed the tradition but is a new way to publish, share, and use information and news, but the corresponding regulations are few.

 

What is the context?

False information is news, stories, or pranks that deliberately mislead or deceive readers. Many things you read online, especially in social media feeds, seem to be true, but this is not the case. According to media literacy expert Martina Chapman, fake news has the following three elements: "mistakes, misinformation and manipulation.” Clickbait, Propaganda, Satire/Parody, Sloppy Journalism, Misleading Headings, Biased/Slanted News, these are all the types of false information. Who is the audience?

All people who use the Internet are likely to be exposed to fake news, which may cause some economic losses to them. Such as teachers, students, and so on. Indirectly affected people, such as entrepreneurs, advertising companies, etc.

 

What is the format of the case studies and how have the issues been conveyed?

Most people need and rely on the Internet now, but at the same time, the Internet has been a lot of temptation and confusion. Although the Internet is a great way to learn, there is also a lot of misleadingly misleading information and news. A lot of fake news is spread to various platforms through Internet advertisements, websites, and so on.

 

How does it engage the audience?

Nowadays, a lot of news will create some exaggerated keywords and eye-catching headlines to attract users' attention and curiosity, which will make them curious about the news content and affect their judgment. It is also possible to draw attention by fabricating irrational events. On the other hand, some media will look for the current popular stars, make an article on the stars, get the audience's curiosity to attract the audience.
