 Weeko Yip will obtain her degree in BA (Media) from Coventry University, UK in 2020, and a Higher Diploma Fashion Design in Hong Kong Design Institute. Weeko is mainly focusing on Graphic Design during her study and possesses the right skill-set, experience, and education to perform fashion designing tasks efficiently. She gained design experience through working and participating in various projects, from the role of merchandiser assistant in Airland, she has been commended ability to create masterpieces from mere penciled design. Since she has had the opportunity to work within their headquarter,  directly with merchandisers and the production team, she knows just how to relay instructions so that they may create an accurate design. Her expertise in CAD, Illustrator, and Photoshop assists her in creating tech packs that are necessary to provide proper factory instructions. She also participated in an internship at Li & Fung Trading company in the AEO department. She enjoys networking and communicating with others. For example, she attended Li & Fung company annual dinner preparation conferences in Li & Fung in the past year, and rather than valuable insights, and connected with some solid new leads.  

 

Her final year project from Higher Diploma has entitled parachute men wears collection, it’s inspired by feeling when you are going to fall down but in reality, it does not happen. She used bright colors such as red, blue and yellow in her collection. This versatile palette is both calming and tough, These color speak of extreme sports and calmer wellbeing spaces, offering a sense of sophistication and energy. Her fabric made by sponge and PVC. This collection presents the safety equipment of parachute sport. She is always passionate about Fashion and Media, and her ultimate goal is to be a fashion & media designer with a unique style, and she starts working on her own design practices for long in order to enhance his software skills and prepare for any upcoming opportunities in the near future.
